Pretty Vintage Crockery

Lucy, founder of Pretty Vintage,is right in saying ‘The once quirky concept of vintage has snuck into the mainstream’ but that doesn’t mean we love it any less. How perfect that there are now so many fabulous vintage suppliers based here in the UK. We’ve had the vintage caravan from MyVintageParty (she does vintage crockery hire too), the 1920′s inspired dresses and now all you need to top off the perfect wedding tea party is to take your pick from this eclectic selection of vintage goodies. Teacups, saucers, plates, jugs, sugar bowls, candlesticks and beautiful embroidered table linen all to…

LMW Winter Wedding Inspiration Board

I know we’re way into 2010 already but given that I think I have some new readers, who presumably haven’t had a chance to trawl through all my old blog entries, I thought that might be a good time to highlight some of the popular posts on LMW last year. As you know every post on LMW has a special something (hence why I featured it) but here is a pick of those definitely worth another read…. 1 * Everyone is talking about Teal as the wedding colour of 2010 so no wonder this Fuchsia Teal and Pewter Inspiration Board…

Table Places at Wedding

.. – 100 Fun, unusual, quirky and different ideas for table names at your wedding. Well nearly 100! (thanks everyone for helping me to add to this list with all your ideas!) It seems that couples are picking creative and fun names for their wedding tables – something personal, meaningful to them or that fits in with their wedding theme. At our wedding we had ‘special’ places – the roads we grew up on, our parents house, the flat that we first shared. the places that we had been on holiday etc. At the time I remember thinking how original,…

Cream Antique bridal bouquet

When Debbie asked if I’d like to review her vintage wedding bouquets I definitely wasn’t expecting something as cool and stylish as this to land in my inbox… for some reason I was expecting them to be floral. These exquisite creations are just fab – exactly the sort of unique touches that I like to feature on LMW. Debbie uses vintage and vintage-style jewellery and buttons mixed with crystal and pearl beads and luxe fabrics like silk, satin, velvet and lace to create spectacular bespoke bridal bouquets. Each bouquet is a one-off individual piece created from antique and vintage store…

The Perfect Vintage Wedding

Vintage bride

We all want to know how to achieve the perfect vintage wedding, I know you do too because you love reading about vintage wedding ideas on LMW. The 1920′s vintage wedding shoot is one of my most popular posts, which has had me thinking for a while that I need to find a specialist or two who can help me out in this area. I have to admit I’ve got a lot to learn when it comes to talking vintage. So I was over the moon to find Lynsey Le Keux, a Vintage Wedding Planner for LeKeux Events who is…

Vintage caravan – Lola’s the perfect prop for a vintage wedding

Vintage Caravan

I have been dying to blog about Lola ever since Laura told me about this project a while ago. Lola is now a gorgeous vintage caravan having had a bloody good makeover from Laura (who runs My Vintage Party). She’s pretty cute and I reckon would certainly be the piece de la resistance at any vintage wedding – things like this make me want to get married all over again. Lola (I love that name – was thinking of calling Coco that) is available for media and publicity events, photo shoots, TV productions, filming and weddings. For weddings, it is…
