It might have been raining but that certainly did stop everyone having a laugh at Gemma and Phil’s wedding – St John’s Church in Edinburgh then afterwards at their reception at The Balmoral Hotel

I’ve featured some of Compose Photography’s work before on LMW – it was the beautiful wedding of Nes and Dash in Islington, London… I asked the duo (Susannah & Huma) to keep me posted on any other weddings so thanks ladies for remembering me, and also to Gemma the lovely bride who emailed me all the details on the wedding.

Flowers were by Roseparks except some of the bouquets which Gemma made herself from flowers she had bought from Sainsburys and M & S (when I got married we made all the bouquets – it was a fun thing to do with all my bridesmaids whilst getting ready and also saves quite a bit of money as it all adds up!)
Gemma’s dress was Neptune by award winning bridal designer Ian Stuart. Her bridesmaids wore dresses from M & S, Pearl Boutique, Next and Debenhams.

* I asked Gemma what was the best bit about the wedding
“Loved all of it! Even better than ever expected. Few moments were being woken to breakfast being served in lounge, room upgrade, passes by comments, everyone dancing ceildh band, having to kick friends and family from our suite at 2am”
* And any tips for brides to be?
“My advice would be to plan as much as possible, do as much as possible and enjoy every moment.”
Thanks again ladies and make sure you all check out Compose Photography where you can see lots more of Susannah and Huma’s work.
Lovely shots, Looks like a good time was had by all. Just proof that the weather isn’t everything for your wedding day and photographs!
Another gorgeous wedding, I love that I recognise the places!
I totally thought our wedding was going to have weather like this {not uncommon in Edinburgh} but thankfully it didnt as it wouldnt have been as easy for me to pick up my train!
