I have been dying to blog about Lola ever since Laura told me about this project a while ago. Lola is now a gorgeous vintage caravan having had a bloody good makeover from Laura (who runs My Vintage Party). She’s pretty cute and I reckon would certainly be the piece de la resistance at any vintage wedding – things like this make me want to get married all over again.
Lola (I love that name – was thinking of calling Coco that) is available for media and publicity events, photo shoots, TV productions, filming and weddings. For weddings, it is to be used as a prop only (no sleeping inside it) and would make a great backdrop for a vintage style wedding. If you want Laura can dress the caravan up with vintage props too. Just check out the inside of her – beautifully done, very vintage – loving the Cath Kidston
Lola is fantastic value for money – she costs £49 per hour to hire (min 2 hours) plus a small charge for mileage. For more info on hiring Lola and to read about Laura and all her other vintage goodies check out My Vintage Party. I can’t wait to get some pics of Lola in action at her first wedding!

How sweet! I can’t wait to see a wedding featuring Lola!
Looking at this caravan took me back to Melrose in Scotland at a time when i was about 4 years old.My Mum,Dad and elder sister went on a camping holiday to a campsite. The car we used was a Standard10 (dont know the manufacturer). The caravan was very small, it had gas lighting that made a whoomph noise when they were lit.The sofa seats folded down to make a double bed and all four of us had to sleep in that bed.During the night droplets of water that formed on the ceiling would drop down on us.
To get out of the bed to get a drink meant one had to clamber over the person you were sleeping next to and there was a kitchen within 12inches of the bed end.
I loved that caravan. My grandparents (on Dad’s side)owned many a van. They used to have one at Alanby (?) on the coast and my sister and I would visit them then go for a walk across the beach, the water would recede about a mile out.
Amazing the memories your picture brought back, and I found this site purely by chance.Wonderful.
Thankyou.
Duncan.
Love it – it is soooo cute! I can certainly picture a bride & groom smooching in front of it (or in it!) for some of their wedding photos. And it’s great that Duncan, in the comment above, was able to reminisce about good times when coming across this post. Warm & fuzziness

Those photos are fantastic! I’d love to hire Lola for my wedding (hopefully my fiancé never reads that out of context, haha)

Hi there – I was so excited to see Lola and read her exciting story…! I’ve just launched a company in the beautiful seaside town of Whitstable. I have two caravans for hire – one a very rare 1971 Cheltenham Roebuck – decked out in polka dots…! And a totally awesome aluminium 40s style teardrop trailer…! Both can be slept in – think retro honeymoon or vintage put me up…! Photo booth…? Or retro backdrop…?
Please check out my website http://www.retro-caravan-hire.com and let me know what you think…!
