To some people the photography and videography of their wedding is very important and I most certainly wanted some good snaps. I love looking through real life weddings and at some of the most amazing photos that have been taken that really capture the moment and the atmosphere.

One of the things about photography is that it can be relatively expensive, depending on who you choose and often they charge extra on top for all the prints that you want which can start making it run into the thousands. If you are on a tight budget then there are normally always one or two of the guests who are budding photographers or who have a bit of a passion for photography so I would definitely recommend speaking with them about taking shots at your wedding.

A friend of mine is a very good fashion photographer and agreed to do the photos at my wedding as long as it was in line with her style of shooting – reportage, fun and nothing too posed. So that meant no family shots, with all the aunts and uncles, but instead some really cool photos that summed up the day and captured the atmosphere perfectly. Everyone wants different things and I also love to see some of the ‘posed’ shots that friends have had taken at their weddings and that are incredibly tasteful.

In my search for wedding style I have come across many fab photographers and I will be reviewing them all shortly and showcasing some of my favourite shots – do keep me posted if you have anyone to recommend.
