I never get round to posting about my own wedding as I am always so busy posting about other people’s. But I’m on this e blogging course with Holly from Decor8 and Leslie from A Creative Mint and I wanted to try out some of the new tricks that we’re learning …. so I thought why not make a collage of my own wedding photos – its the perfect way to test out my new skills.
fresh flowers, make up, champagne, me and dad, best friends, bridesmaid dresses, double decker buses, christmas decorations, fairy lights, bridesmaids and maid of honour, Mother Catherine, cutting of the cake, mother of the bride.
I suppose this is like a disorganised inspiration board (after the event!). I’m not sure about the black background, but I can’t really have a white one. Maybe I just need a thin border. What do you guys think? I quite like this way of featuring lots of pics without having too much focus on any one of them.
here is a second try – do you think the polaroid shots look better?

Beautiful photos, so many memories! I’m enjoying BYW too!
I really like this, it gives a story board approach without being too perfect. It seems to create a more relaxed feel. Perhaps it may help other brides to put a board together to show their ideas to suppliers etc to help understand their wedding day vision and help them focus. I think sometimes the inspiration boards are so lovely that when a person who has never done one before looks at them they are put off by how hard it looks to do. I know you meant it to be a story of your day, but it could be the vision of before to help like a little road map. Hope this makes sense. The upshot is I like it.
Thanks Ladies for your nice comments. Julie I agree with you, it doesn’t always have to be ‘perfect’ – brides to be could spend hours and hours creating the perfect inspiration board but I think this works just as well (especially for those of us that might have struggled with creating inspiration boards). I used Picasa to create this and once I worked out how to use it, it was very simple and easy. Something that any bride to be could use!
Love it – such happy pictures! I think it really works agaist the black – makes all the jewel colours and big smiles stand out!! xx
i think it looks lovely lovely one.
I particularly like how your most recent blog shows….not revealing all, just giving you a digestable and good looking taster, with an option to read more.
I’ve sooooo much to learn from you!!
