Wedding clutch bags – ahh that is something that I left until the last minute (for a change) and lovely husband ended up buying me an Anya Hindmarch silver clutch bag just before my wedding. I always have a bag so why wouldn’t I want one on my Wedding Day?? These are the little things that sometimes get forgotten, but every bride wants a bag of sorts so I’m just giving you a little nudge, and showing you a few that I’ve come across from a talented british designer (and they’re much better value than my impulse purchase)
I really like the first one with the peacock feather – there is something quite distinguished about the peacock, its almost regal. These are all designed by British designer Rowena Dugdale, and you can buy from her Etsy store, Red Ruby Rose (don’t be put off that price is quoted in $, she is based over here in the UK and it just gets converted to £ when you buy on Paypal) or you can buy from NotontheHighStreet. Her clutches are approx £75-£85 but it depends on the style that you choose. The best thing is that you will be supporting young british design and its high likely that you’ll be carrying a one off beautiful creation on your wedding day.
A few words from Rowena about her gorgeous wedding clutches,
“Welcome to the Red Ruby Rose collection of clutch bags, featuring sumptuous silks, striking contemporary prints, and fine Italian leathers, all stylishly and individually handmade by independent artist Rowena Dugdale in her central Bristol studio. All the clutches are lined with beautiful dupion silks and linens for a little added ‘secret’ luxury when they are opened.”

Oooh some of the clutches are gorgeous!
That is something I thought about a while ago; I got one from another British Etsy seller called EmmaGordonLondon – http://www.etsy.com/shop/EmmaGordonLondon – she custom made each bag for me & my bridesmaids and put our initials inside – on mine I also got the wedding date put in it.
Would totally recommend her – since they are gifts for my bridesmaids too; I haven’t shown them on my blog yet!
Oh wow! I really love the first two, with the peacock feathers! Since a wedding is far off in the future for me, I would love to use them for a glamorous night out!
These are going on my wish list. Thanks for sharing! x
Gaynor i would love to see some photos of the bags that you had made for your wedding… please do send me some pics so that I can share with LMW readers.
LOVING that gorgeous peacock clutch!
