Wedding clutch bags – ahh that is something that I left until the last minute (for a change) and lovely husband ended up buying me an Anya Hindmarch silver clutch bag just before my wedding. I always have a bag so why wouldn’t I want one on my Wedding Day?? These are the little things that sometimes get forgotten, but every bride wants a bag of sorts so I’m just giving you a little nudge, and showing you a few that I’ve come across from a talented british designer (and they’re much better value than my impulse purchase) I really…

Large Willow Heart

I’m a hopeless romantic – you only have to say the word ‘LOVE’ and I start melting into a happy haze. I also ‘love’ supporting british designers and suppliers on LMW so I thought that I would post this little melange of loveliness that I found on Vintage Amethsyt – an online shop selling lots of vintage arts and crafts. These are perfect little touches to include on your wedding day, use them to decorate the reception, on the tables, or to help style your table plan. These are incredibly good value at start at only £4.50 for the lovely…

Stylish Cufflinks for the Groom

scrabble cufflinks

When we were getting married I wanted to get Lovely a little pressie to give him on the actual wedding day – I thought cufflinks, but I wasn’t very organised, left it to the last minute and only found one pair in Paul Smith that I wasn’t particularly keen on. A True 1940′s wedding

  • March 20, 2010

A couple of weekends ago I went home to see my grandparents and to introduce Coco to her great grandmother and great grandfather. We had a photo of the 4 generations and it got me thinking about writing a post on 3 generations of weddings – 1942, 1975 (I think that is when my parents got married) and then Alex and I in 2008. There is so much talk about the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s –I feel so lucky to hear it first hand from my grandma and find out what a 1940’s wartime wedding was really like. We’re talking…
