Jane Taylor Millinery – New Bridal Collection
Jane Taylor is a London based milliner – a creator of bridal hats, fascinators and antique adornments. Her pieces are regularly featured in the top bridal magazines and you can see why.
The vintage style headpieces are embellished with feathers, lace, gems, veiling and vintage bits and bobs. I love this picture from the December issue of Cosmo Bride which shows the model wearing one of Jane’s art deco vintage-style headpieces. The Ian Stuart dress is pretty amazing too.
If you want to steal the show then this beautiful feather hairpiece will do exactly that. I remember trying to find something like this for my wedding, but just didn’t know where to start looking. I would love to see this on an actual bride but as its from the summer 2010 bridal collection we’ll just have to wait a while. Its called the Ivory Feather Flower – so delicate and beautiful but still a real statement piece.
This vintage hair accessory from the new bridal collection is equally gorgeous – much more laidback and simple than some of her designs, but perfect for a bride that is going for a natural hair style look.
I could go on and on posting more and more photos of her work but I can’t really choose between them (and its getting late) – I suggest that you check out her site for photos of more of her designs and to read a bit more about Jane Taylor Millinery. I’m looking forward to featuring some real life brides wearing some of Jane’s designs this summer – I think she is going to have a busy few months ahead.
1920’s inspired wedding dresses – coming to London
‘All That Jazz’ is not only the name of the wedding dress I wore at my wedding (by Alan Hannah), but also the name of this gorgeous new collection of 20’s dresses from Lindsay Fleming Couture. I’ve previously featured some of their wedding dresses on LMW in the post 1920’s inspired wedding shoot – but now I’ve got even bigger, better pics for you to drool… over so enjoy….. and read on for all details on how you can see Linsday Fleming Couture in London.
Shot by award winning photographers, Archibald Photography, these dresses look utterly fantabulous! I LOVE this one – infact, correct me if I am wrong but, Mark, from Archibald Photography won an award for this photo recently.
… and for those of you worried about having to traipse all the way up to Scotland to try on your dream dress – the good news is that they are coming to London soon (info below)
Great hair and make up for this shoot too. All the head pieces have been created by Baba C. Make up is by Ainsley M and hair by Volume Hair.
This 1920’s wedding shoot took place in House for an Art Lover in Glasgow, Scotland.
Now for the all important bit about how you can meet with the award-winning bridal designers in London
“Lindsay Fleming Couture have decided this year to make it even easier for brides to have a face to face consultation with a designer and to see first hand the dresses, quality of fabric and workmanship. They have arranged the first in a serious of visits to Central London where private consultations and fittings can be offered to clients without travel to Scotland. Their first visit will be on 26th, 27th and 28th March 2010 with further visits planned every eight weeks. The venue for these consultations will be ‘Dolphin House’, Chichester Street, London, SW1V 3LX and appointments can be arranged by contacting Lindsay Fleming on 01864 502522 or by email bridal@lindsayfleming.com . In addition to their 20s inspired collection ‘All That Jazz’, they will also be
displaying their celtic and medieval inspired gowns; the ‘Celtic Spirit Collection’.”
Thanks Donna (from Archibald Photography) for sharing these fantastic pictures with LMW.
Wedding Table Name Ideas
.. – 100 Fun, unusual, quirky and different ideas for table names at your wedding. Well nearly 100! I asked myself the question: Do many couples go with table numbers these days? I think not – it seems that couples are picking creative and fun names for their wedding tables – something personal, meaningful to them or that fits in with their wedding theme.
At our wedding we had ’special’ places – the roads we grew up on, our parents house, the flat that we first shared. the places that we had been on holiday etc. At the time I remember thinking how original, but having done a bit more research I realise that many other couples have the same idea as us!
